LOVE Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu has spoken out on her ex Davide Sanclimenti and his girlfriend’s legal woes, and said “no one wants to be in prison”.
It was revealed earlier this month that Davide‘s girlfriend Iris Au is facing up to three years in jail.
This year, Ekin-Su, 30 found love again when she went on Love Island: All Stars and met Curtis Pritchard, 29.
However, before waltzing off into the sunset with the pro dancer, the reality star was known for her romance with Davide, 30.
After meeting in the famous villa, the pair went on to win Love Island in 2022.
However, after a very on/off romance they broke up in January 2024, after 18 months together.
However despite their bitter break-up, Ekin-Su wishes her ex well as he goes through a tough time.
It was revealed earlier this month that Davide’s new girlfriend Iris is facing up to three years in prison over a £2million tax row.
She pleaded guilty to a tax charge after failing to report illicit money she obtained via an ex-boyfriend’s criminal cryptocurrency activities.
Davide has vowed to stand by her, no matter what the outcome.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday about her ex and his new girlfriend, Ekin-Su said: “I hope they’re OK. I have no words to say.
“I hope she’s fine and I hope he’s fine and I hope they sort those issues out together.
“No one wants to be in prison, do they? It is what it is, and I hope they’re happy.”
THE EX-FILES
Ekin-Su also chatted about her boyfriend Curtis ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins, 34, who he met on Love Island in 2019.
She revealed how she is actually friends with the I’m A Celebrity star, as they live in the same building.
“We shared the same guy, under the same roof almost,” Ekin-Su told The Sun.
“It’s not awkward.
“Actually, Maura is lovely and she is chilled about the situation. I’m chilled and we have all moved on.
“Maura is a friend of mine and Curtis says such lovely things about her and vice versa. We are all mature.”
