Jet2 has revealed additional flights from a major UK airport for winter 2025/2026, in a boost for holiday hungry Brits.

More flights and holidays will be on sale for winter sun and city break destinations, from Birmingham Airport through Jet2. The announcement means that there will be additional seats for winter 2025/2026 from Birmingham Airport, including bringing the start of the season to Porto forward in response to more customers looking for culture, history, cuisine and sightseeing.

The flight programme is also being expanded to the Canary Islands, Cyprus, Turkey, Alicante, Porto and Madeira. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are seeing continued demand for our award-winning flights and holidays and with Winter 25/26 looking so popular, we are in the position to respond with a massively expanded programme from Birmingham Airport.

“As well as extending the season to Porto, we have also put additional capacity on sale to popular winter sun destinations, meaning we are giving customers even more choice and flexibility when it comes to getting away next winter. Such an expansion would not be possible without customers choosing to travel with us in huge numbers, so I would like to sincerely thank our customers and independent travel agent partners for their continued support.

“We look forward to taking lots of happy holidaymakers on their well-deserved holidays next winter and showcasing our award-winning credentials.”

Tom Screen, aviation director of Birmingham Airport said: “We’re delighted that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have directly responded to our customer’s needs and expanded their programme for Winter 25/26. The new increased services offer even more choice for our customers looking to jet off during the winter period, whether that’s for a much-needed dose of sunshine or a cultural city break.”

Jet2 was recently crowned the best short-haul airline in the world. Which? conducted its annual airline satisfaction survey, gathering feedback from travellers about their flying experiences over the past year. The survey analysed data from more than 9,000 flights.

Jet2 was the best-performing short-haul airline, netting an impressive customer score of 80 percent. It is the fourth year in a row that the airline secured the top spot, earning high praise for customer service, booking process, cleanliness, and value for money. The airline also boasted one of the lowest rates of last-minute cancellations in the survey, with only 0.1 per cent of flights being cancelled at short notice, according to CAA data.
