Where is the hotel?

The hotel is just one mile from Heathrow terminals 1, 2 and 3 and there’s a bus outside that goes directly to the airport.

What is the hotel like?

It’s so close to Heathrow, but has a bit of character unlike other airport hotels, so it’s a great choice if travelling with kids.

There is a 24-hour reception, so there’s no need to worry if you have an awkward flight time.

There is also onsite parking for £14 a night and have a number of EV chargers.

What are the rooms like?

There are three room types – Queen and Duet, sleeping two, or a Family room to sleep up to four.

Kids especially will love the quirky-designed rooms with astronaut decals and ‘windows’ looking into space.

Each one comes with free WiFi, huge comfortable beds along with what seemed to be extremely thick walls as I didn’t hear a sound while getting some needed shut-eye.

The en-suite has all you need too, with walk-in showers and complimentary toiletries and towels.

Rooms start at £65 a night.

What is there to eat and drink there?

The on-site restaurant Westcombe is your best bet, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It has an extensive enough menu with all the classics, so even fussy eaters will find something they like, from burgers to pizza.

I lined my stomach with a meatball marinara after arriving the night before, and wish I’d had room for the chocolate fudge cake.

Breakfast is an extra £14 but includes both Full English and continental options (and is definitely cheaper than the airport).

Need a nightcap? The hotel bar is right next door.

Is the hotel family friendly?

Absolutely – the family rooms sleep four in one double bed and one sofa bed.

Is there access for guests with disabilities?

Yes.
