Ben Stiller, who is the executive producer of hit TV show Severance, has shared an update on the third season of the show alongside stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman
This Morning: Severance’s Ben Stiller quizzed on season 3 release date
Ben Stiller, the executive producer of the hit series Severance, dropped by ITV’s This Morning on Wednesday, 26 March, to chat about the show’s future following the success of its second season.
Alongside him were stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman, who have captivated audiences with their performances.
The team faced a grilling from hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who were eager to find out when fans can expect the third instalment of the Apple TV+ sensation.
The second series concluded on Friday, 21 March, leaving viewers clamouring for more.
This Morning host Ben probed the Severance producer, asking: “You kept us waiting between seasons one and two. I’m assuming you’re not going to tell us anything, but can you tell us how long we’ll have to wait?”
Stiller played coy about the specifics of season three but assured fans that the aim is to release it “as fast as possible”.
He admitted: “Erm… I can’t tell you anything. And I would love to tell you how long you’ll have to wait, but the goal is definitely not to wait three years, between two and three,” adding: “For sure, we want to get it out as fast as possible. We’re in that process.”
This tease comes hot on the heels of Apple TV+’s confirmation that Severance season three is officially in development, reports Wales Online.
In a statement, Ben previously shared his enthusiasm: “Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of.
“While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”
Dan Erickson, the mastermind behind the show, couldnt contain his excitement: “The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined.”
He added: “I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people.”
This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 at 10am. Severance is available to stream on Apple TV+.
