Coronation Street’s Craig Tinker actor Colson Smith appeared to give away a big spoiler concerning The Rovers for a few months time with it appearing to officially be for sale
There could be some new faces behind The Rovers bar on Coronation Street very soon.
One actor on the show has leaked a pretty big twist is on the way amid Jenny Connor’s battle to keep her beloved pub. With her still in debt to Carla Connor and risking a fallout with stepdaughter Daisy Midgeley, it seems she could well lose the venue after all.
Carla has been threatening to put the pub up for sale for weeks if she doesn’t get her money ASAP. Jenny and Daisy had stolen the money that Stephen Reid had stolen from Carla’s factory, before using it to buy the pub when they were at risk of losing it before.
When Carla found out she declared the pub was hers and it would remain that way until they paid her back, which has not happened. With them still owing her thousands, Carla has made it clear she needs to money now and that if she has to, she’ll sell the pub.
Currently on the show Jenny and Daisy are trying to raise the funds, and upcoming scenes will show Jenny hiding the fact she’s had a windfall which she will plan to give to Carla behind Daisy’s back. Carla advises her to get a business loan with it to buy the pub off of her for once and for all.

But perhaps it doesn’t go to plan given the fact a new image from the set has revealed the pub is up for sale. With Craig Tinker soon leaving the show, with a possible death on the way, actor Colson Smith who plays him has finished filming.
The star had his leaving do just days ago it seems, and he also shared a photo likely from his last day on the set. Colson is sat on the top of the pub in the snap, and fans immediately noticed the for sale sign outside.
There isn’t one currently, so this confirms in a matter of weeks Carla is going to put the pub up for sale. So does this mean Jenny and Daisy are unable to pay up, and there will be new owners on the way?
Viewers think so, and that a returning character could take over as the new landlady. The only reason for a sign to be outside is if Jenny and Daisy fail to secure the funds to keep the venue, and if Carla officially puts it on the market.
Fans believe it will be former inhabitant and barmaid of the pub Eva Price who will be the new owner, as she’s set to return this year. Actress Catherine Tyldesley is reprising the role, and given her mum Stella Price used to be the landlady could she follow in her footsteps?
Taking to X, one fan posted: “I think it’s ether Eva or Michelle Connor to buy the Rovers,” as another said: “Eva to buy it as she’s coming back.” A third fan agreed: “Eva will be the new owner,” as a fourth added: “Can’t wait for Eva to come back & take over The Rovers.”
All will be revealed in a matter of weeks it seems! Meanwhile Craig’s final scenes are planned for around the summer.
