Emmerdale’s latest preview for next week as confirmed someone is helping Joe Tate to target Caleb Miligan amid his plan to steal his kidney in a dark storyline on the ITV soap
Emmerdale: Joe Tate’s accomplice Gina targets Caleb
There’s a new character on Emmerdale who is set to target Caleb Miligan in a sick twist, amid Joe Tate’s plan to steal his uncle’s kidney.
In sinister scenes this week we saw Joe and his private doctor Dr Crowley move forward with their plan to find seriously ill Joe a kidney donor. His brother Noah Dingle wasn’t a match it seemed, after they drugged him and tested him last month.
In a recent episode we finally found out what was wrong with Joe and what he was hiding from villagers. He has chronic kidney disease, and it seems without a transplant he will die.
Joe and Crowley revealed they were running out of time, with Joe secretly using a dialysis machine at home as a temporary treatment. This machine has been keeping him alive amid his plotting with Crowley to target someone else hoping they would be a match.
As Joe revealed this week that his uncle Caleb was on his radar, he manipulated GP Manpreet Sharma into getting him a blood sample from an unsuspecting Caleb. Crowley tested the blood and confirmed he would be a match for a kidney donor.
It was then that they planned to go ahead with the secret transplant, all without Caleb ever finding out. Now, a new preview and new spoilers have revealed the dark scenes set to unfold next week.

Joe has help it seems to get to Caleb, as a mystery newcomer is targeting him. We meet a new character named Gina next Wednesday, and in the episode she tries to charm businessman Caleb – but she’s working for Joe.
Gina is helping Joe, planning on drugging Caleb to allow Joe and Crowley to get on with the operation. Gina shows up at the depot and claims to be a possible new client.
In a preview clip she’s shown discussing business with Caleb, claiming her other providers weren’t up to it. She soon makes it clear she’s keen to sign on the dotted line, suggesting they go into business together.
But after she shares her dislike for the coffee she’s been given, Caleb offers to make her a tea instead to which she agrees. Her plan becomes clear though as Caleb leaves the room, with us seeing her plot to drug him.
She takes out a vial filled with a mystery liquid from her bag and soon pours it into Caleb’s own tea. Caleb doesn’t see her do this as he’s out of the room, but will he end up drinking it?
It’s not entirely clear who Gina is or why she is helping Joe, but it seems things do not go to plan. Other spoilers released by the soap teased things would take a violent turn, leaving Caleb fighting for his life.
