Ramsey’s current Cardiff contract expires at the end of the season, although he recently stated he is eager to remain with his boyhood club beyond the summer.
When directly asked in February if his preference would be to extend his stay at the Bluebirds, he said: “Of course, I’ve come back for that reason.
“There’s a lot to look forward to next year as well. Of course, I want to play my part and help this team.”
Ramsey featured just eight times for the Bluebirds in the Championship this season, with six of those outings being starts.
