Coleen Nolan’s Loose Women co-star revealed the real reason why she missed her 60th birthday celebration.
Loose Women: Charlene apologises for missing Coleen’s birthday
Loose Women star Charlene White was feeling remorseful as she missed out on co-star Coleen Nolan’s special milestone.
Coleen was left sobbing during a recent episode of the ITV hit chat show, after an emotional string of surprises to celebrate her 60th birthday.
The star’s fellow co-stars, sneaked her friend and family inducing her three children into the studio. However not everyone managed to make it to the party and during Tuesday’s (March 18) instalment, panellist Charlene White addressed her absence.
Turning to Coleen, the TV presenter pointed out: “I didn’t get to see you last week.” Coleen asked: “No you didn’t, where were you?”
Charlene revealed: “On your 60th. I had to do the other job so I couldn’t come to your surprise celebration but you had even more celebrations throughout the week didn’t you?”
Reflecting on the day, Coleen went on to say: “Well the Monday on Loose was just incredible and I cried all day and it went on all night. It was surprise after surprise, my kids in the audience and they’ve never all been here together.”
Opening up on her emotional family reunion, they played a clip from the moment her siblings surprised her on the show as she continued: “My brother also came out. My older brother that I am kissing there, he never leaves Blackpool.”
Everyone burst out laughing as she went on: “My sister came on and I thought she wouldn’t come because she was in Dublin touring so she’s not going to fly over and when I thought I can’t cry anymore out popped Brenda singing.”
Coleen joked: “I think they were trying to kill me off and I was thinking this might be my last show and they didn’t tell me.”
At the time, the birthday surprise proved to be overwhelming for Coleen as she burst into tears and admitted that the reunion was ‘too emotional’.
Walking into the studio, Coleen was blindfolded just moments before she was surprised by her sons Jake Roche, Shane Nolan and daughter Ciara Fensome.
The surprises didn’t stop there as she was sent a sweet message from former Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks. The duo became good friends after taking part in the Real Full Monty together.
Later on her rarely seen brothers Brian and Tommy made an appearance live in the Loose studio as well as her sister Maureen Nolan and yet again Coleen burst into tears.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30 on ITV and ITVX
