SHOPPERS are rushing to pick up Nestle favourites scanning at tills for just 10p.
Iceland is flogging a much-loved seasonal treat for pennies.
One shopper spotted the bargain in a local Iceland and shared a photo to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group page.
They said: “Iceland fishponds. 10am today. Lots of bargains.”
In the photo, Nestle‘s Mint Maltesers Mini Reindeer’s are labelled as half price – making them just 10p.
The treat comes in a pack of five.
But this isn’t all.
The photo also shows various John West tuna tins with prices slashed by 50 per cent.
Marked down to £1.37, shoppers can get their hands on three packs of Tuna Steaks in either sunflower oil, brine, or spring water.
And John West fridge pots are selling for just £1.25.
Plus, Vimto mugs have been marked down to just 1p.
The Facebook post has racked up dozens of likes and comments to match.
One person said: “Omg malteaser reindeers are my absolute fave.”
Meanwhile a second shopper pointed out that the Vimto mugs were previously free if you bought the Vimto squash.
To which another shopper replied: “But the squash was more than 1p so still a bargain.”
“Very true, I’ve never seen them sold after the offer.
“Though this offer is still on I believe anyway,” replied the original poster.
It comes after a major supermarket dropped the price of its mega 750g bags of Quality Street chocolates.
The treats, which were originally £6.99, are scanning at just £1.86 this week.
The whopping family-sized refill pack can be found for the reduced price when you shop in Asda stores.
The bags are a popular product at Christmas time as they pack even more chocolates than a regular tub — which usually retails for around £6.
This means you can get more bang for your buck by saving the tub and refilling it with more than the equivalent amount of chocolates from the pouch.
While it usually sells for £6.99 in Asda it can also sell for much higher prices in other stores — being sold for a hefty £14.95 on Ebay.
This makes the discount on the pouch almost 90% off — meaning you could enjoy it for cheap now, or plan ahead and store it in the cupboard for winter.
Bargain hunters are rushing to secure the deal, which follows a range of similar reductions on Quality Street products.
Quality Street is sold all year but is also a beloved festive treat –meaning stores are likely clearing their Christmas stocks to make room for Easter eggs.
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
