While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, it comes in a close third to Co-op and Sainsbury’s, which takes the top spot for value.

Unlike the convenience of a shake-and-pour bottle, this option requires a bit more precision, as you’ll need to measure out the wet ingredients yourself using kitchen scales.

The Pantry American Style Pancake Mix weighs 232g, which the supermarket claims is enough to make between six and nine pancakes.

Each mix is priced at £1.25 per box, which works out to approximately 54p per 100g.

Asda

This year, Asda is offering four different varieties of pancake mix, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences.

Each mix weighs 155g, which the supermarket claims is enough to make between six and nine pancakes.

The range includes a classic mix made with flour and powdered eggs as its main ingredients, as well as an American-style version that incorporates raising agents for fluffier pancakes.

For those with a sweet tooth, there’s also a chocolate chip option.

Additionally, Asda is stocking a vegan, plant-based mix that’s free from eggs, ensuring everyone can enjoy Pancake Day.

Each bottle is priced at 92p per pot, which works out to approximately 59p per 100g.

Co-op

Co-op is offering a single shaker of pancake mix this year, perfect for quick and easy preparation.

While it’s not the cheapest option on the market, it comes in a close second to Sainsbury’s, which takes the top spot for value.

The Cook’s Kitchen Pancake Mix comes in a 155g bottle and is priced at £1.20 a pot.

However, Co-op Members can enjoy a discounted price of 80p.

This works out to approximately 77p per 100g at the standard price, or just 52p per 100g with the membership discount.

Iceland

Iceland is offering a single shaker of pancake mix this year.

The Green’s Pancake Mix comes in a 155g bottle and is priced at £1 a pot.

This works out to approximately 65p per 100g.

Lidl

Lidl is offering a single box of pancake mix this year, and it’s not own-label.

Again, unlike the convenience of a shake-and-pour bottle, this option requires a bit more precision, as you’ll need to measure out the wet ingredients yourself using kitchen scales.

The Dr Oetker American Style Pancake Mix weighs 210g, which the supermarket claims is enough to make seven pancakes.

Each mix is priced at £1.25 per box, which works out to approximately 60p per 100g.

M&S

This year, M&S is offering four different varieties of pancake mix, catering to a range of tastes and dietary preferences.

Each mix weighs 155g, which the supermarket claims is enough to make six pancakes.

The Sainsbury’s Pancake Mix Shaker comes in a 155g bottle, priced at £1 per pot, which works out to 65p per 100g.

However, Nectar card holders can enjoy a discounted price of 90p, bringing the cost down to 58p per 100g.

Alternatively, the same pancake mix is available in a packet for those who prefer to mix it in a bowl.

The packet is priced at just 75p, which works out to 48p per 100g.

Nectar card holders can save even more, picking it up for only 65p, reducing the cost to 42p per 100g.

Tesco
