SADLY for soap fans, Coronation Street has been removed from its usual Friday night slot.
If you were planning on tuning in to the latest action from the cobbles, you’ll now have to wait until next week – here’s why.
Why is Coronation Street not on ITV tonight?
Coronation Street, which was set to air at 8pm this evening, has been pulled from schedules.
ITV will instead switch to coverage of the UEFA Women’s Nation League.
The UEFA Women’s Nations League will kick off at 7.30pm and continue until 10pm.
An additional episode of the long-running soap was broadcast on Tuesday, February 18, to make up for Friday’s axed installment.

Earlier this month, Coronation Street fans were left furious after the soap was once again cancelled, with ITV dedicating almost three hours of their schedule to the FA Cup.
Prior to this, the show was pulled from screens on January 31 to be replaced by the Rugby Six Nations Championship.
When is Coronation Street next on?
The soap will return on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 8pm.
Usually, Coronation Street airs every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
However, on Friday, February 28, ITV is once again shaking up its schedule to make room for the FA Cup, which will air from 7.30pm until 10.25pm.
Catch up on Coronation Street
This week, soap fans tuned in to see Coronation Street’s Julie Carp, return to the show – and she’s hiding a huge secret.
Viewers watched on as she reunited with her nephew Todd and met her sister’s (Eileen) partner, George.
But the reunion wasn’t all it seemed, as Julie later told Todd not to mention her return to his mum.
George tried to convince Julie to reunite with Eileen but she soon brushed him off.
She then went on to reveal that she had no intentions of seeing Eileen or staying in Weatherfield, leaving viewers questioning what Julie was hiding and why she was avoiding her sister.
Fans of the soap can catch up on all of the latest storylines over on ITVX.
ITVX is also home to a wide selection of classic Coronation Street episodes for those who want to take a trip down memory lane.
