Occasional Digest - a story for you

PARENTS have gone wild after the price of a popular baby care item appeared to have plunged in price.

The incredible item is the Tommee Tippee anti-colic set.

Normally on sale for £39, a shopper recently spotted it being sold for just £9.75 in the Tesco clearance.

She only realised, however, that the price of the set had been slashed when she checked her receipt at home.

The lucky customer said the set is “still full price” on the Tesco website, so she wasn’t sure if the deal was available everywhere.

Writing on Facebook, she said: “Tommee Tippee anti-colic set from £39 down to £9.75 on clearance in Tesco, Mold.

“Still full price on their website. Comes with 4 bottles, 1 brush, 1 dummy, and 2 replacement heads. Not sure if this is nation wide, or not.”

The set is designed to ease colic, gas and reflux and includes nine helpful items.

It includes 2 150ml bottles, 2 260ml botts, 2x medium flow teats, 2 night time soothers and 1 bottle and teat brush.

The soothers are great for babies struggling with colic and keeping up their parents

One shopper described the product as a “true game changer” and said that it made them, and their child, sleep better.

They added: “Your little one will thank you for it.”

Another said they “never looked back” after buying the set.

Colic affects 1 in 4 healthy babies and involves them crying for long periods without any obvious cause.

Symptoms include loud crying which normally lasts more than three hours, though some babies will have a swollen abdomen or a slightly red face.

Eight in 10 parents say bed-wetting is affecting their kids at school – making them tired or reluctant to go

One midwife said that if their crying becomes a “high pitched whine, whimpering, rasping, gasping, or whistling hooping sound” then the condition might be more serious than colic.

As there is no cure for colic, sets by brands including Tommee Tippee are the only way to calm your baby until colic goes away by itself.

The set is in the clearance sale which means there are a very limited number left.

Although it is sold out online, shops may have some anti-colic sets left on their shelves.

Mumsnet users love the set too with one happy mum saying that the product is “bloody brilliant”.

However, one parent warned that you need to be “cautious when putting them together” to avoid any leaks.

Another added: “They don’t leak if you put them together properly.”

The news of the sale comes just days after a study found that eight in 10 parents believe bedwetting has impacted their child’s time at school.

67% of parents said there was a need for better educational resources around bed-wetting, in Pampers Ninjamas’ study.
