Meeting her future husband

Georgia and Rob have been together since 2008, when the famous dartsman was just 17 years old.

They met when Rob went into the pet shop where Georgia worked on Saturdays.

Their first date was, of course, darts where Rob wowed his future wife with his skills.

Speaking to The Mirror, Georgia said: “We just clicked and it was obvious very quickly how sweet and caring he was.

“The first time we met up he bought us a bag of chips to share and we just talked for a couple of hours and ate them.

“He was already into darts and I soon knew how obsessed he was.”

Marital bliss

Rob and Georgia tied the knot in 2011 and have since welcomed four children.

They have two sons named Bobby and Leyton and two daughters named Imogen and Madison.

Having children changed Rob’s life and even made him briefly give up his favourite sport.

He said: “I actually gave up playing darts for three years after my little boy was born.

“I was 20 when he came along, and then I started just playing down at the pub again, until my uncle half forced me to go to Norwich to play the qualifiers, in the Rileys, and it was just sort of life changing.”

Rob’s incredible career

Rob first discovered his love for darts when he was 15-years-old and living in Hastings, East Sussex

He began playing in a local darts competition in Kent, while working as an electrician.

In 2016, he gave up his day job to focus on his beloved sport, though his profession inspired his nickname Voltage.

Rob told The Mirror: “I’m quite adamant it won’t change me as a person.

“I think if I did get carried away with it I’d get complacent, and then it would be all over before you knew it.

“I’ve got a good backing behind me with my management team, and my family are all down to earth.”

He is currently ranked as the no.4 darts player in the world (as of February 2025), having reach a peak of no.2 in 2018 and 2019.

The star won the 2018 world championship, despite turning professional just 11 months before the event.

Rob will be competing at the Premier League Darts competition, but he has clashed with Sky Sports ahead of the event.

He was left off a promotional poster for the tournament and responded by joking: “Obviously my face must not fit.”
