WWE’s annual Royal Rumble showpiece is set to be the first major Premium Live Event from the company broadcast live on Netflix.
The world’s leading streaming service struck a deal to be the new home of WWE’s pay-per-view offerings as the future of sports entertainment bears fruit.

Last month it was announced that WWE Network would step down as the main provider after ten years.
“On January 1, 2025, WWE Network will no longer be available in some locations worldwide. After January 1, Netflix will be the new exclusive home of WWE in these countries,” WWE says.
“Netflix will bring WWE’s electrifying content all to one place in some international markets, including weekly shows, Monday Night RAW, SmackDown and NXT, PLUS Premium Live Events (PLEs) such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.
The weekly flagship programme introduced by Netflix has already shown RAW, with the package reportedly worth a staggering $5billion.
Traditionally, wrestling fans would’ve had to be a network subscriber, with those in the UK able to receive viewings of each event on TNT Sports through a one-time fee.
Is the 2025 Royal Rumble free to watch on Netflix?
Yes, if you already have a subscription, the 38th annual Rumble will be available to watch for Netflix subscribers at no additional cost – for UK users only.
Fans in the UK who already have a Netflix subscription can watch the action live while others can sign up for £4.99 or more here.
However, in the States, WWE still has a contract with streaming service Peacock until 2026 – which is where the Rumble will be shown.
What Netflix plan is needed to watch WWE?
Netflix currently offers a variety of plans for users, which include two standard packages – one with adverts – and a premium one.
All WWE live events on Netflix are included in all plans.

Royal Rumble 2025: Date and how to follow
This year’s Royal Rumble will take place on Saturday, February 1 – the first time the event will not take place during the month of January.
Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will host the event with action is set to start at around midnight for UK wrestling fans, and at 6pm Eastern time / 3pm Pacific Time for viewers in the States.
