Burnley vs Leeds LIVE SCORE: Flemming misses golden chance in HUGE top of the table Championship clash – latest updates

Occasional Digest - a story for you

7 – Leeds building

Leeds flash another warning shot, but Bogle scuffs his cross well wide, Tanaka blew the chance to shoot from the edge of the box but hindsight is a beautiful thing and maybe he should have done so.

6 – Free kick in a dangerous area for Leeds

Aaronson’s free kick hits the wall but a foul is given anyway against Tanaka in the box and Burnley have a free kick this time. It’s cagey.

A strong opening two minutes for the neutral

Burnley applying pressure on the left-flank in what has been a tense start. The hosts are in claret and blue while the visitors are donning a bright yellow.

Kick off underway

This is an opportunity for the best of the best in the Championship to make a real statement.

They mean business

Both sets of players have their game faces on as they walk out under the pouring rain. Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford was praying to the sky as the heavens opened. You can see how much this match means to both sets of players.

Justin Allen soaks up the atmosphere at Turf Moor

The teams are warming up at a chilly Turf Moor for what should be a fascinating battle of two different ideologies — pitting the Championship’s best attack against the stingiest defence.

Burnley have remarkably only let in NINE goals so far while Leeds have banged in 53.

The two managers both know how to win promotion — with Clarets boss Scott Parker having already taken Bournemouth and Fulham up while Leeds’ Daniel Farke won the Championship twice with Norwich before losing last year’s play-off final against Southampton.

Leeds go into this game top of the tree, which was helped by both Sheffield United and Sunderland dropping points over the weekend, but third-placed Clarets can go level with them but most probably behind on goal difference with victory tonight.

Met a lot of travelling fans on my way up on the train today and they came here in a confident mood despite Scott Parker’s side toppling them 1-0 at Elland Road thanks to a Luca Koleosho strike. Didn’t find a single one who is worried about losing — with only a handful settling for a point.

Daniel Farke’s side are currently unbeaten in 10 and have only lost once in 14 but Burnley haven’t lost for 15 league games and they have only been beaten twice all season. They are also unbeaten here at Turf Moor.

Ilia Gruev comes in for Joe Rothwell, who drops to the bench for the visitors, while Parker has also made one switch with Bashir Humpreys replacing Lucas Pieres who is benched.
