NOTTINGHAM FOREST want to find a home for striker Emmanuel Dennis and his £4million-a-year salary.

There are talks with Watford but his former club cannot afford his wages.

Sheffield Wednesday are keen but well short on terms and there have been offers from abroad.

The Nigerian, 27, arrived at Forest from Watford for around £10million in August 2022.

That fee could have doubled with add-ons, but instead Dennis has struggled.

He’s been frozen out by City Ground chief Nuno Espirito Santo this season.

And in fact his last game for Forest was way back at Crystal Palace in May 2023.

A exit before the transfer window closes on February 3 appears likely.

Dennis has 18 months left on his Forest contract.

And as well as a string of Championship clubs, Rangers are said to be monitoring the situation too.

Forest are reportedly open to a loan or permanent departure.

Dennis has already had two temporary spells away from the City Ground.

He departed for Turkish team Istanbul Basaksehir for the whole of last term.

But that loan deal was ended midway so that he could return to Watford for the rest of the season.
