A money-savvy mum has shared a house tour on TikTok, showing off the glam transformation she’s done on her council house.
The thrifty shopper had given the house a luxury feel on a budget – and revealed where she found her best bargains.

Louise B, @louisebxx, posted a clip to the video-sharing platform showing viewers how she managed to overhaul her house for cheap.
She began by showing viewers her hallway, which was decorated smartly with plush carpets and a beautiful black arched mirror.
Louise explained she’d managed to nab her statement mirror for £120 from The Range.
Laid neatly in front of the mirror was a plush circle rug from B&M – who currently have a similar one for £10.
To add a personal touch to the space, she’d bought some classy black picture frames from Amazon and printed off adorable snaps of her kids at Boots.
Louise then showed viewers her living room, where she’d placed a gorgeous dining table.
She said: “So I’ve wanted this table for ages, from Dunelm.
“Anyway, the table itself was about £340, I think.
“However, I love a bargain, so I kept searching the name of the table into Facebook Marketplace.
“I bought the chairs off Dunelm for £69 each and I actually picked up the table for £50, which obviously is a massive, massive bargain.”
Thanks to Louise’s eagle-eyed hunting, she’d managed to nab the table for £290 less, second hand.
Louise went on to show another mega bargain – a gigantic family sofa from Next.
The grey L-shaped sofa fit perfectly into the corner of her living room, and was laden with fluffy pillows to make the perfect comfy seating area.
She said: “My sofa is a £3,000 sofa from Next, however, as we know, I love a bargain.

- Take inspiration from pricier shops and head to B&M, Home Bargains for interior decorations.
- Head to YouTube for easy to follow tutorials on how to decorate rather than paying for professionals.
- For a quick glow-up for your floors or anywhere with tiles, opt for stick-on vinyl to save on costs.
- A lick of paint does wonders to make a room feel brand-new.
- Switch out kitchen cupboard knobs for modern ones instead of buying brand-new cupboards
“I found this on Facebook marketplace for £200.
“Went and picked it up, gave it a deep clean – it was in pretty good condition anyway, but, yeah, beautiful.”
To decorate the bargain sofa, Louise had seen some stunning grey and cream square Homebase pillows – but the soft furnishings were pricey, at £18 each.
So clever Louise hatched a plan: “I knew Homebase were closing down, so I kept waiting and waiting and waiting and eventually I got them for £4 each.”
Panning the camera round to show the other side of the room, Louise pointed out a set of bargain B&M mirrors, just £40 each
Underneath the mirrors were a gorgeous pair of matching cabinets adorned with some fancy Ylang Ylang & Rose & Patchouli candles, also from B&M.
But Louise’s showstopper was her eye-catching fireplace: “This fireplace was my biggest bargain.
“So I really wanted a marble fireplace, but as we all know, they are thousands of pounds.
“However, I got this for free and cleaned it up.”
The thrifty mum had managed to nab her fireplace second-hand for nothing – and after giving it a quick clean, it looked brand new.
Louise’s eye for a bargain and thrifty tips had given the room a luxurious touch, at a fraction of the price.
