PAUL O’Grady’s widower has been slammed by neighbours of the late star and has been accused of “cashing in” by one of them after slashing a colossal £1million off the asking price of the star’s home.
Andre Portasio married Paul in 2017 but has now faced accusations he is aiming to profit off the star by selling his seven-bedroom Kent farmhouse.
Paul passed away in 2023 and the ownership of his property, known as Knoll House, was left to Andre who has since opted to list the home for sale.
The For The Love Of Dogs host had originally purchased the stunning house, which comes complete with four reception rooms, in 1999 and lived there until he died just under two years ago.
Just days ago, The Sun revealed that the home, located in the small village of Adlington, had reduced in price to £2.65million, after originally being listed for £3.5million by Andre.
Now, fuming neighbours have told the Mail Online, that they think Andre has made the decision as a quick way to cash in.

Andre had previously caused issues among residents of the small village after seeking planning permission to convert a security hut on the site into a two-bed property and later a holiday let.
Amid the latest row after lowing the asking price of the home, one enraged local told the Mail: “We’ve not seen Andre much at all. It just feels like he’s trying to cash in on the property after Paul died with all these various plans.
“It’s really sad. Now he’s lowered the price. There’s a big difference between the sort of people who would pay £3.5 million and £2.65 million, in my opinion.
“It’s worth more than three million, I would say. I wish he would just decide what he wants to do with it and get on with it.
“It’s an absolutely stunning property and I am sure Paul had many cherished memories there.”
A second neighbour, known as Fred Jaegar, went on to tell the publication: “It’s a really unique property. I think it’s the best house in Kent. I just wish Andre would decide what he wants to do with it.
“It’s not good that it has been lowered in price. I cannot understand why it would not be sold. It’s absolutely breath-taking. He should have kept it at the value it was originally.”
Others later felt the move had “cheapened” the house and the local area.
Four years ago, Lily Savage star Paul was given the go-ahead for a groundkeeper’s outbuilding, gym and dance studio at his rural estate.
But following his death in March 2023, his widower inherited the estate and launched a bid to turn the security hut into a separate two-bedroom house.
He applied to the local council for a “change of use” of the security lodge which has an office, kitchen and shower, and lies next to the family pet cemetery.
But neighbours blasted his plans and accused him of trying to build a new home “by the back door”.
Currently, The house boasts four reception rooms, a large kitchen and breakfast room and a master bedroom with dressing room and en suite.
It also has four further bedrooms with an en suite and a family bathroom.
A cottage on the grounds has been turned into a dance studio and gym with a kitchen and steam room.
