The Love Island 2019 couple shocked fans when they announced the end of their relationship on social media in the summer.

Tommy was accused of cheating on her before she called off their five year relationship, after being sent an “upsetting video” showing him on a lads holiday in Macedonia.

The professional boxer, who shares one-year-old daughter Bambi, has now broken his silence on the those cheating allegations during an emotional interview with Men’s Health.

He admitted he had became dependant on alcohol following a painful boxing injury – saying “my mental health was in the pan“.

Tommy said: “The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore,.

“It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t.

“I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is.

“People go through different things in life and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.”

Tommy snapped all the ligaments in his hand back in 2019 – which lead to reconstructive surgery in early 2024.

He went on to say: “I’ve only lived for training and my family, and that was all snatched away from me.

“So what I did for fun is I started to drink quite a lot. I found that’s what made me feel better.

“I wanted the endorphins that I’d get when I’d finish a good session, when I’d finish sparring, when I’d finish fighting.”

The brother of Tyson Fury admitted he enjoyed the party lifestyle a little too much – spending nights drinking to “get black-out drunk”.

This soon took a toll on his relationship with fiance Molly – but he insisted he never cheated.

“Cheating was never a thing. You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it,” he continued.

“If you’re in the same spot as me, where you just think that it’s going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t.

“You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That’s the cycle of it.”
