PRINCESS Kate will one day be Queen, but reportedly isn’t getting a lot of advice from King Charles, claims an expert.

Royal author Christopher Andersen told Fox News that King Charles and Princess Kate have “strengthened their bond” over “their shared cancer battle.”

However, he claims that King Charles isn’t speaking about Kate and William’s eventual ascension to the throne just yet.

The monarch’s Coronation took place in 2023 following the late Queen’s passing the year before.

Upon the Queen’s death Charles had waited 70 years and 214 days to become king, which made him the longest-serving heir apparent in British history.

Christopher alleged: “The king is not about to be giving Kate advice about being a future queen.

“That would simply give oxygen to the notion that he might not be around much longer, and Charles III intends to stay put on the throne for years to come.”

The monarch is said to be “so impressed with her grace and grit” that he honoured his daughter-in-law with a Royal Companion of Honour.

This is said to be an “unmistakable sign of his faith in her ability to help carry the monarchy forward.”

In addition to this, Queen Camilla reportedly is also staying tight-lipped on the topic.

Christopher continued: “[Camilla] has not felt compelled to speak with Kate about what it’s like to be queen.”

US Weekly claimed that the topic of William being the next king is a “sensitive” one that is broached with “discretion and purpose.”

An insider claimed: “Charles has wanted to be the monarch for decades.

“Even though he’s battling cancer, he’s not letting that get in the way of his desire to be successful on the throne or a dynamic leader.”

During this period, William is said to be planning for his future role “behind the scenes for when his ascension happens.”

And similarly to this father, he “takes being a success in the royal role very seriously.”

When you are in the royal family there’s a lot of protocol you have to follow and restrictions on what you can and can’t do.

However, King Charles recently made a change that would allow Prince William to have more freedom – but he may not be taking full advantage yet.

Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward told Fabulous: “William is a councillor of state so needs to be in the UK when his father is not around.”

In 2022, MPs backed a new law allowing Princess Anne and Prince Edward to stand in for King Charles at official engagements.

Ingrid explained: “They were appointed as senior working royals who could deputise as well.

When was King Charles’ coronation?

KING Charles was crowned in a historic ceremony watched by millions on May 6, 2023.

“So strictly William does not have to be here if they are.

“He could go abroad but might not be wise at this particular juncture.”

Princes Andrew and Harry are also on the list of stand-ins, even though both have stood down as working royals.

The Princess of Wales, 43,  has been resting at home following the completion of her chemotherapy treatment.

Kate said she was entering “this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life”.

The Princess said she was “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months” but added her focus was “doing what I can to stay cancer free”.
