But no! Andy Madley says no free-kick, and the Manchester United captain is absolutely furious as a result.
With his boot half off as a result of the challenge, Fernandes removes it and hurls it to the turf in frustration.
In fact, he does that not once, but twice – and the second time it draws the attention of the referee, who books him for dissent.
