THE MASKED Singer fans are convinced Pufferfish is a huge US pop icon after spotting a very convincing ten clues.

Judges Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross were joined by Line of Duty star Vicky McClure to try and guess a group of new masked up stars on The Masked Singer.

Pufferfish was the first new singer to take to the stage, after being chosen by Jonathan Ross.

The spiky fish performed Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! with an impressive set of vocals.

Before taking to the stage, they revealed some very important clues that may point to Teenage Dream songstress Katy.

Taking to a Reddit forum, one fan wrote: “Katy Perry she was suggested by another poster and rewatching the performance, it sounds exactly like her especially some of the phrasing on the chorus. I knew I knew that voice.

“‘Don’t get me wrong, the Brits hold a special place in my heart too.’ She’s with Orlando Bloom and she was married to Russell Brand.

“‘It runs in the family’ – apparently both her siblings also sing.

“‘Dazzled by all the stars’ – reference to her feature on 3OH!3’s song Starstrukk?

“The boots on the chicken – Katy is a footwear designer ‘Katy Perry Collections’.

“Chicken- more tenuous but it made the news that she shoved 7 chicken nuggets in her mouth on Japanese TV?”

They later added in an amendment that a dice clue may refer to a dress that Katy wore during one of her performances.

Also, that the chicken under her foot clue could refer to the opening scene of Katy’s Last Friday Night (TGIF) music video, where a chicken is visible at the foot of the bed.

They said the SJP one could be a nod to Sarah Jessica Parker or St. James’s Palace.

Katy has ties to the British royal family, as she was made an ambassador for King Charles’s British Asian Trust, which would link her to the palace.

Additionally, like Sarah, Katy also designs shoes, with her own footwear line called Katy Perry Collections, making both interpretations of the clue plausible.

The user said the dalmatian print on the seats clue could be connected to Katy’s personal fashion and business ventures.

It is believed that a pair of dalmatian-print pumps Katy thrifted inspired her to launch her own shoe line.

Her brand, Katy Perry Collections, was relaunched in 2022 after she filed for bankruptcy in 2021.

Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?

Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.

The American football clue allegedly connects to Katy’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance in 2015.

Lastly, they said the spider clue may refer to a rumor that circulated about Katy being bitten by a spider during her honeymoon.

The story made headlines at the time, but Katy later denied it.

Someone responded to the post, writing: “This feels like a big name for tms but now you’ve said it I can really hear it…”

Another added: “She did do ‘a night of a lifetime’ on itv so she is in the itv ballpark. I wouldn’t be 100% surprised.”

A second disagreed: “It’s obviously not going to be anyone that famous, her popularity may be waining in recent years and her past couple albums have totally missed the public zeitgeist, but she can still command large audiences and fees for her perfomances.

“I mean she pretty much headlined the atrocious Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball just before christmas.

“She ain’t spending weeks in the UK dressed in a sweaty fish for £10,000-£20,000.”

After their performance, Pufferfish hinted: “Being puffed up all big can feel quite excessive, sometimes being small is just as effective.”

TMS viewers have also pointed their fingers towards Britney Spears‘ sister Jamie Lynn Spears being beneath the costume.

Pufferfish was the first up to sing after TV presenter Kate Garraway was unmasked as Spag Bol, after ITV viewers were left fuming that they had to wait until the Sunday night show to see them unmasked.

After she was revealed, Kate laughed: “I can’t sing and I kept telling [the producers] that but they said it doesn’t matter.”

She also told that she kept the reveal a secret from her own children, Darcey and Billy.

Kate added: “The kids don’t know. Although they did catch me singing, and I said I’m doing something for charity and they said ‘I hope you raise a lot of money!'”
