MANCHESTER CITY heaped pressure on Julen Loptegui as West Ham were hammered at the Etihad Stadium
The under-fire manager was already facing the sack from the Hammers following last week’s 5-0 humiliation to Liverpool.
The hosts broke the deadlock against the run of play after Savinho’s cross deflected in off Vladimir Coufal.
Savinho caused trouble yet again just before half-time as his deep cross was headed home by Erling Haaland.
City dominated the opening stages of the second half to wrap up the match.
Haaland scored his second in the 55th minute before Phil Foden made it 4-0 three minutes later.
Niclas Füllkrug did get one back for the visitors in the 70th minute as he slotted past Stefan Ortega.
Despite the goal, West Ham were not able to mount a shock comeback, and Man City held on to victory.
The win meant that Pep Guardiola’s side made it back-to-back wins for the first time since October.
