Occasional Digest - a story for you

A LUSH super fan has revealed they drove for 30 miles and queued for two hours to nab some epic deals in their Boxing Day sale.

The mum took to Facebook to explain that her closest branch is 30 miles away in Exeter, but it’s also the “first year” she’s ever “managed to get to a store”.

In her post on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, she shared pictures of her purchases, which included the Little Sleepy Bear gift set, that usually retails for £25.

She also managed to grab the Sugar Plum Fairy set, which would ordinarily cost £18, and the £65 Comfort and Joy gift set.

Alongside the gift boxes were multiple paper bags, which all looked as though they contained bath bombs.

And the woman continued her post to admit that while the “queue was massive”, and it had taken her two hours to get into the shop, it was “definitely worth it”.

“I have 3 girls who love a bath around 3-4 days a week so this is going to last us a little while!” she concluded.

And while some people in the comments praised the woman’s “fabulous haul”, others were less than impressed.

“Nice of you to leave some stuff for others,” one grumbled.

“And this is why no one can get anything,” another agreed.

As a third admitted they’d been planning to go to the Exeter store on Saturday, but there’s “no point as looks like its all gonna be gone”.

Lush used a new system for shoppers this year, as they had to download the store’s app and stock up on there, rather than on the website.

But there were mixed reviews from those who’d tried out the app.

“Well done on your haul,” one wrote.

“Been trying since midnight to get into the app, finally got in just now and all sold out!”

“Wow, I was too drunk and tired when it came to 12pm and fell asleep while app was loading!” another added.
