MCDONALD’S is making a big change to menus TODAY and customers can’t wait.
Sweet-toothed customers are now able to get their hands on an iconic treat once again.
The fan-favourite Grimace Shake has returned to all 1,450 McDonalds stores across the UK.
The blueberry-flavoured milkshake is inspired by the purple Maccies mascot Grimace and last hit UK stores in August.
It is a classic flavour in the States but went viral when it was brought across the pond, with fans going crazy for its iconic purple blend.
It will be available for limited time only – lasting for either two weeks or until stocks run out.
That means you’ve got to be quick if you want to get your hands on it – as stocks sold out fast last time.
Fans have already jumped on social media to show their excitement for the relaunch.
One user wrote on X: “I can’t wait to try it!”
Another wrote: “OMG! Can’t wait.”
While a third said: “Everyone needs to go out and try it.”
A medium Grimace shake will set you back £2.69 – or £2.99 if you want to upgrade to a large.
This is compared to the usual cost for a regular medium McDonalds milkshake which is £1.99 or £2.19 for a large.
However bear in mind that prices can vary depending on which McDonalds store you are visiting.
The Grimace Shake is the first time McDonalds has mixed things up with its flavours – which are typically just strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.
Like a normal McDonalds milkshake it has a creamy and milky base, combined with brightly-coloured blueberry-flavoured syrup.
Previously the chain has offered other exclusive drink flavours but with its frappe menu, such as the Biscoff Frappe which was briefly available earlier this year.
To keep track of new menu items and their prices you can use the McDonalds app, which can also help you collect points and rewards.
For example, there is a whole new 2024 winter menu to get stuck into, with the return of more fan-favourites as well as brand-new additions.
How to save at McDonald’s
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
What’s on the McDonald’s festive menu?
This year’s winter menu features the brand new Terry’s Chocolate Orange pie.
The pie is a variation on the classic apple pie, with chocolate pastry and Terry’s Chocolate Orange ganache.
When The Sun did a taste test of the item, reporter Sam Walker said it was “delicious”.
And it costs just £1.99 to buy, served perfectly hot.
The other brand new addition to this year’s winter menu is the Cheesy McCrispy, priced from £5.99.
The burger comes with all the usual fillings in a classic McCrispy, such as a crispy chicken fillet, bacon, lettuce, crispy onions and pink pickled onion chutney – plus two slices of cheese and cheese sauce.
McDonald’s lovers will also be delighted to learn of a few returning items blessing menus this winter, including the much-loved Big Tasty.
The Big Tasty has made its comeback after being axed in March, priced at £7.59 – or £8.39 if you want to add bacon.
It consists of a beef patty with Emmental cheese, onions, tomatoes and smoky barbecue sauce, all layered inside a toasted bun.
Another returning fan-favourite is The Cheese Melt Dippers with tomato sauce for £2.49 standard size and £6.79 sharing size.
Combining breaded Camembert cheese with a spiced tomato dip, this festive item will be seen for the first time since it was temporarily dropped from menus at the beginning of 2024.
And for even more Terry’s Chocolate Orange goodness, the Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry is back for the first time since 2023.
For regular size this will cost £2.19, and for a mini McFlurry, £1.59.
The sweet treat includes soft swirl ice cream with mini segments of Terry’s Chocolate Orange and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange sauce.
A Galaxy Caramel option has rejoined the McFlurry menu for the same price, with Galaxy chocolate stars and caramel sauce.
If you’re just looking for a festive hot drink, customers can also get their hands on a Galaxy Caramel Latte or Hot Chocolate for £2.69.

Find yours by visiting mcdonalds.com/gb/en-gb/restaurant-locator.html.
McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am – after that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.
