TOWIE star Junaid Ahmed has revealed the heartbreaking reason for his brief split with Joe Blackman last series.
The last series ended with Junaid making a heartbreaking confession about his relationship with Joe.
Viewers watched as Joe started a shock romance with Junaid just two weeks after splitting from Harry Derbidge.
But it all ended in tears and Junaid was seen making a call to his best mate Dani Imbert to reveal it was over.
TV favourite Junaid, 30, has now revealed the real reason behind the break-up – saying Joe was “unfaithful”.
Junaid exclusively told The Sun: “Joe was unfaithful. We had just gone exclusive. He was unfaithful. It was my own decision to go back into it. We are together.
“It wasn’t as bad as something I couldn’t forgive.
“At the end of the day…this is my first relationship. This is the first time I’ve been in love
“It was a stupid little mistake.
“He had messaged someone else… I ended it.
“And then we didn’t speak for a week or so then rekindled and worked on things… really worked on things.
“We started off again as friends, to rebuild the friendship, to see where we would get to and see what would happen.”
Junaid revealed that the pair are back on track, despite causing upset among the cast.
“Fast forward to now we are happier than ever and more loved up than ever,” he told us.
“Making sure we are on the same page, boundaries and respect and all that…
“It has moved leaps and bounds. Massively… we are very much in love and happy and content and good.
“We didn’t expect it and we didn’t know it would happen.
“Obviously there was quite a clear connection between the two of us… and I do believe love takes over in the end.
“There is a massive connection there and we have gone with our hearts.
“When you are in love and you’ve gone with your heart what more can you do?
“It is going to ruffle everyone’s feathers. He is Harry’s ex and it not the ideal situation but at the end of the day we make each other happy.
“And that is what matters the most.
“Love wins in the end.
“We are practically in a relationship, without the label.
“He has lived at mine for the last month. He is living with me.
“I am waiting for him to do it (ask us to be boyfriends)
“We are both going to Bali which will be exciting and fun.”
The Towie Christmas special promises to be full of drama, tears and fallouts around a 25 person table.
Junaid admitted that he and Joe did not receive a warm welcome from his fellow cast members at the festive reunion.
And also opened up about his fallout with pal Dani.
He told us: “We turned up at the party late and had a grand entrance to everyone.
“People didn’t know me and Joe were coming.
“They knew we were back on as they’ve seen it all over social.
“We had a very frosty reception.”
He went on to say: “None of the cast are rooting for us. Me and Dani don’t speak any more.
“She said we have drifted and she doesn’t agree with the things I put up on social media. I will do whatever I want to do.
“Social is my social media and I am not hiding my life for anyone.
“I am going to unapologetically be myself.
“You can have an opinion but whether I listen to it is another story. I am not doing anything wrong…. But I have fallen in love
“What do you want me to do? Live my life in secret?
“You can have your opinion…”
He added: “I don’t care to speak to Harry. I hope he does whatever he is doing, life goes on.
“I wish him well and happiness and success but stay out my way.”
