ADVERTISEMENTNestled in the Shahdag region of Azerbaijan, Nazrin Garibova embodies the spirit of ski mountaineering. Born in Azerbaijan but raised in the USA, she returned in 2021 to join the Transcaucasian Trail Project.
She now represents Azerbaijan in the national ski mountaineering team. The sport combines endurance, skill and breathtaking scenery as athletes conquer peaks throughout the year.
Supported by the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation, Nazrin hopes to inspire more girls to test their limits and discover the empowering beauty of mountaineering.
