LE FAUVE (1.45 Southwell, nb)
Went close in some much stronger races than this last season. He came back with a solid third at Chepstow in October and has had a wind op since then. A lot of the Skelton horses take a step forward for their first run of the season and he looks hard to beat.
BARNABY (6.30 Newcastle, treble)
Made it four wins in a row at Gosforth Park last time out. That quartet of victories all came over this distance and another 4lb nudge up the weights won’t put the brakes on. He can make it a famous five for trainer Kevin Ryan.
PRINCE ACHILLE (2.54 Newcastle, Lucky 15)
Has a fantastic track record and was in winning form here ten days ago. He is best over this distance and the handicapper has been fair with a 3lb rise in the weights.
