Kosovo players reportedly took offence at chants from the home Romanian fans in stoppage time.

The Romanian team waited for nearly 40 minutes – hoping the away side would return to the pitch.

But in the end the hosts had to head off the pitch themselves to the dressing room.

It was understood the Kosovo team were then given an ultimatum to return.

Bu the eventual outcome remained unclear.

Trouble erupted after the full 90 minutes were up, with the score still 0-0.
