Today is a holiday that encourages people to show their pet dogs a little bit of appreciation for all they do. Dogs provide us with love, companionship, and security, all without asking anything in return. Some dogs are even working dogs that take care of tasks that either people can’t do or are too dangerous for people to do.
For all of that, we should all take the time to show them appreciation by observing this holiday on October 22nd. And because dogs are so easy to make happy, it won’t require a whole lot of time or effort to celebrate this day.
You would expect it to have been created by an organization such as the ASPCA—and in fact, this holiday was created with their help. What we didn’t anticipate, however, was that the automaker Subaru would also be involved with this holiday.
