A MOTHER of the bride has caused controversy after choosing an incredibly glamorous dress to wear to her daughter’s wedding.
The woman decided to turn her back on the traditional types of outfits worn by newlyweds’ mothers, and opted for something a whole lot sexier.
Looking confident, she posed up a storm in the strapless olive green dress, which featured a full skirt, thigh-high split and daring neckline.
“Bombshell mother of the bride,” hairstylist Veronica wrote as she shared the video on TikTok.
The Sydney-based stylist was responsible for teasing the mother of the bride’s blonde hair into a glamorous updo which perfectly complemented the gown.
People were quick to comment on the video, with the majority of them praising the woman for her extravagant look.

“Lovely, but it’s the bride’s day not yours,” one sighed.

“She looks stunning.”
“The mother’s dress is upstaging the brides! Sorry ladies just my opinion,” a third insisted.
While others were blown away by the woman’s look for the wedding.
“Hands down the best mother of the bride I’ve ever seen… She look so beautiful,” one wrote.
“This is how I want to dress as the mother of the bride!!” another said.
“That is mother of the bride goals!” a third wrote.
“Fabulous choice,” someone else agreed.
“I don’t think I’ve seen anything more beautiful for the mother of the bride!”
“You understood the assignment. You slayed that look. Wow,” another gushed.
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you’re struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here’s a few rules on what not to wear so you don’t get in trouble.
- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
- Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream – even if it’s not.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.
Others asked to see a video of the bride, and soon realised their concerns about her mum upstaging her were entirely unfounded.
“With how stunning mom was I was worried I’d be underwhelmed with the bride…,” one wrote.
“But damnnnn did not disappoint!
“She’s gorgeous and so is her dress.”
“Well you are just as lovely as your mother,” another agreed.
“You look like a beautiful princess,” a third praised.
“Also love your mum’s dress – they both ooze classy quality.”
