Littler, 17, delivered a huge 110.43 average and Aspinall threw his darts away onto the stage floor after the thrashing.

He said: “Obviously there was loads of talks about changing to my new darts.

“So I’ve come here this weekend and made a decision to go back to what I know best and they went well tonight.

“I’m happy I know what I can throw with these darts. That’s why I’m not playing with the gold ones and it just goes to show tonight why I shouldn’t have changed.”

Littler now faces old foe Damon Heta in the third round on Sunday afternoon.

He added: “If I play like this again tomorrow I’ll be very happy. I know me and Damo always have a good game. So I’ve got to be at my best. It should be a good game.”

After a disappointing opening round defeat at the Grand Prix, Littler was back to his devastating best.

He hit six perfect darts in the second leg of this clash but remarkably that ended in the only leg he lost.

Littler delivered 128 and 124 finishes to completely outclass World No8 Aspinall.

And the reaction that drew online from fans was one of amazement.

One fan wrote: “Steady 110.43 for ‘finished’ Luke Littler tonight Form is temporary, class is permanent”

A second shared: “Luke Littler that’s just ridiculous.”

A third posted: “Wow. Littler. Insane.”

This was Littler’s 25th European Tour game.
