Right on time for the beginnings of the cosy season, M&S have released a limited Christmas edition of the Percy Pig Family.

We have Newfoodsuk to thank for blessing our screens with this wonderful news just hours ago.

The Facebook page stated: “Percy Pig and Family pack spotted at M&S!!.”

So far the post has racked up almost a hundred likes and fans cannot contain themselves.

“Get these on the Christmas shopping list!!”, said one excited shopper.

“They’re back!!”, replied another.

“You can get me some for Xmas”, commented a third person.

Percy Pigs first appeared in stores back in 1992 and since then around 12 variations have been created.

Not to mention another four seasonal variations.

Although the image the Facebook page posted doesn’t reveal too much about the flavour of these yummy gummies, it seems likely they will sit beside the rest of the Percy Pig collection.

It also appears on the Ocado website, that the Merry Percymas Fruit Flavoured Gums are currently selling for £1.90 per 170g.

This is also a limited Christmas edition, made with real fruit juice but with a special festive makeover.

However, this news comes after M&S announced the axe of its “all-time favourite” Percy Pig sweets, leaving shoppers devastated.

M&S has axed some of its popular Percy Pig sweets – leading to desperate calls for them to be reinstated.

Percy Pig Phizzy Chews earned rave reviews before they were scrapped in the brand’s recent confectionery overhaul in July.

After their launch in 2020, customers adored these tasty treats.

But the sweets appear to have faded in popularity since their promising start, with M&S deciding to scrap them in July.

Superfan Brad on X moaned: “I’ve been into five different stores now and they are nowhere to be seen!

“They were my all time favourite sweets and I don’t know what I am going to do without them!”

Although Percy Pigs are a much loved sweet snack, they are also a fierce topic of debate.

However, M&S continues to innovate Percy, with its seasonal variations including: “Percy meets the Easter Bunny”, “Merry Percymas” and “Pumpkin Percy” for Halloween.

To find your local M&S store head to the website and click Find a store on the top right.

Then, enter your postcode, town, or street name to find your nearest store.

We always recommend checking the product’s in-store availability to avoid making a wasted trip should it be out of stock.

The history of Percy Pig

PERCY Pig first hit shelves in M&S in 1992.

The pig shaped sweets originally came in strawberry, blackcurrant and raspberry flavours.

Since then Percy has been joined by many pals including a cola Candice Cow, and orange and strawberry Sharon Sheep.

In 2013 – aged 21 – he found love with Penny.

On his website Percy describes Penny as the “most lovely lemon and vanilla-flavoured pigette”.

After Percy and Penny got together Percy piglets began to appear.

Mango-flavoured Timmy Tiger and blackcurrant-flavoured Poppy Panda joined the range in 2014.

Since 2022 all Percy Pigs have been vegan friendly as M&S ditched gelatin.

You can even purchase Percy smoothies, biscuits, and hampers.

As well as food, Percy has also branched out into kitchen accessories, bedding, clothing, and even a neon light and nail polish.

And if you just can’t choose – there’s always a Percy gift card to splash on all things piggy.
