REPAIR Shop host Jay Blades has quit his role with one of the King’s charities following his coercive behaviour charge.

The BBC star, 54, has stepped down from educational charity the King’s Foundation.

It confirmed yesterday: “Jay Blades has informed us of his resignation from the ambassador role.”

Blades was appointed building crafts ambassador for the charity, then the Prince’s Foundation, in July 2020 when Charles was the Prince of Wales.

The charity offers “inspiring training programmes which aim to help preserve traditional building craft skills”.

Blades, made an MBE in 2021 and who greeted the King on a Repair Shop special in 2022, said at the time: “I am honoured to be invited to be an ambassador for The Prince’s Foundation.

“HRH The Prince of Wales’s vision of creating harmonious sustainable communities is a passion very close to my heart.

“Championing a sustainable approach to how we live our lives, build our homes and teach traditional arts and crafts are fundamental in all aspects of my philosophy.”

Blades faced court on Friday accused of “physical and emotional abuse” of estranged wife Lisa between January 1, 2023 and September 12, 2024.

He was pictured in a hoodie and puffer jacket as he left Kidderminster magistrates’ court.

The dad of three was bailed to appear at Worcester crown court on October 11.

He and Lisa, his second wife, wed in Barbados in November 2022.

On May 2, Lisa announced she had walked out on the star after 18 months. He was arrested the next day.
