JLS star JB Gill has been given his marching orders by his wife ahead of Strictly’s launch night – quite literally.
The singer has been married to dancer Chloe for 10 years, so if anyone’s ready to make him Strictly ready, it’s her – and she’s pulling out all the stops, it seems.
Proving she is fully involved with the process, the pair have been sharing hilarious TikTok videos showing his ‘at home preparation’.
One saw the Beat Again star being grilled on falling victim to the ‘Strictly Curse’, seeing Chloe question him on potential romance and him quickly denying it.
In the latest clip, JB is standing in a dancers pose in his garden, while Chloe struts around him, acting like a drill sergeant.
Using audio from iconic American football movie, Remember The Titans, Chloe laps up her new role, syncing the words: “You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile.”
While JB looks sheepish and daren’t move an inch, Chloe then enjoys trying to startle him by getting aggressive.
Squaring up to his face, she continues: “You fumble the football, and i will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts and then you will run a mile. Perfection!”
Friends and fans were quick to laugh along with the pair as JB gets ready to take on his biggest challenge yet.
Rochelle Humes wrote: “This is making me cry 😂 because I know how accurate this is 🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭😭”
“😂😂😂😂 Ha haaaaa!!!! You better listen J!!!” added Fleur East, who participated on the series in 2022, prompting JB to respond: “Trust me!! Mrs Gill is ready!!”
Even the Strictly pros got involved and saw the funny side, with Johannes Radebe declaring: “I’m done” next to a coffin and a laughing emoji.
Janette Manrara and the official Strictly account also liked the post.
“Omg Chloe, this is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good luck @jbgill … You got this 💥🪩🏆” wrote a fan.
Chloe and JB, who have been together for 14 years, have been making light of every element of Strictly ahead of its launch, intent on having fun with the competition.
Speaking to MailOnline about Chloe’s reaction to his Strictly news, JB explained: “She can’t wait to offer advice which I’m very grateful for because I’m not a trained dancer.
“I’ll be able to hear from her and work alongside my pro with. She can’t wait for the journey to start just like I am.”
This will be JB’s second time on the Strictly dancefloor, having previously competed in the 2012 Christmas Special, winning the show alongside Ola Jordan.
However, he doesn’t think it will give him any kind of advantage.
Speaking at the announcement of his participation in this year’s full series, JB said: “I danced in the Strictly Christmas special over a decade ago and loved it, so when I got the call to join Strictly this year, it was an immediate yes from me.
“I’m raring to go to and looking forward to showing off some new skills to the JLS boys.”
Strictly Come Dancing launches Saturday on BBC One.
