Taking to her Instagram stories, Millie shared a snap of herself wearing a revealing Brat green top.

She captioned the photo to her 292,000 followers: “Oops she bleached.”

Millie debuted as the Fifteenth Doctor’s (Ncuti Gatwa) companion in last year’s Christmas special.

Titled “The Church on Ruby Road”, the episode established the character Ruby Sunday as an orphan while introducing her to the Doctor.

The star’s first full series in the role aired between May 11 and June 22.

Previously, Millie portrayed Kelly Neelan in Coronation Street for three years before leaving the soap in 2022.

Kelly was introduced as the daughter of deceased ruthless loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood).

Rick had been killed by Gary Windass (Mikey North), with his own daughter initially being unaware of his demise.

Announcing her departure on Instagram, Millie said: “It’s with a very heavy but full heart that it is time to say goodbye to Kelly Neelan.

“These past 4 years have been like no other and I can’t begin to describe how much I’m going to miss this place and the people in it.

Millie Gibson revealed as Doctor Who’s new companion on Children In Need

“I’ve had the honour of being surrounded by such talent and kindness over the years and have met friends and a second family for life.

“I’ll never forget my time here or the memories it has given me.”

Her casting as Ruby was officially announced in November 2022, being unveiled at that year’s Children In Need.

Millie told presenters Mel Giedroyc and Jason Manford: “It’s insane.

“I’m so honoured that I was considered for an audition.

“I just hope I can make you all happy and fill the boots of the other companions.”

She followed in the footsteps of fellow Corrie alum Bradley Walsh in becoming a companion.

Doctor Who airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
