WHILE fans are keen to know everything about a celebrity’s life, there are some confessions they should definitely keep to themselves.
Katy Perry, 39, shocked fans when she admitted the rather racy way she rewards beau Orlando Bloom, 47, for doing housework.
She told the Call Her Daddy podcast: “If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d*** sucked. I mean like literally. That is my love language.”
The couple have been engaged since 2019 and share three-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.
Her podcast comments aren’t the first time she has made cringe comments about her partner.
Katy has previously described Orlando as a “wild stallion” that couldn’t be tamed.
She’s not the only celebrity that is guilty of over-sharing about their sex life. Here, we look at the other cringe confessions.
Prince Harry
After decades of embracing the Royal Family‘s never complain, never explain rues, Prince Harry threw that all away with an autobiography.
The fifth-in-line to the throne decided to disclose how he lost his virginity like a “young stallion” in a very public space.
Writing in Spare, he recalled it as a “humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion.
“I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my ass and sent me away. One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub. No doubt someone had seen us.”
It later transpired that he hadn’t bothered to warn the woman in question, Sasha Walpole, before the book was published.
Ruth Langsford
While Ruth and husband Eamonn Holmes, 64, are now estranged, she was once happily gushing about their bedroom antics.
The Loose Woman, 64, disclosed that the pair shared a very active sex life back in 2017.
It came as the group were discussing if you could tell a lot about a man in the bedroom from his dance moves.
Ruth said: “Well, if that is the rule my husband is a steam train.
“As soon as music starts he just goes like a steam train. My husband can be seen to be doing it most Fridays.”
Later in the show, she went on to encourage women to learn how to give themselves an orgasm.
She said: “You don’t have to have a man to do that for you. I am making a serious point that if you don’t know what an orgasm feels like how can you expect someone else to provide it for you.
“You need to know what you are going for and how to get there.”
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
Comedian Nick, 43, hit headlines for sharing a detail about his sex life with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
He dropped the bombshell that the pair used to have sex to the singer’s own tracks.
In 2012, he told Howard Stern: “Can you imagine having sex with Mariah Carey while Mariah Carey is playing in the back?
“Sorry, Mariah. I said I wasn’t going to say that again.”
Five years later, after the couple split, he shared on the Amber Rose Show that their track of choice was Hero.
He also admitted that Mariah wasn’t thrilled he had shared their sexy secret with the world!
Kim Kardashian
As the world’s most famous reality star, Kim, 43, is no stranger to sharing every detail of her personal life.
But some things, like where and why she decides to have sex, don’t really need to be shared.
In an episode of The Kardashians, she shared details of her romp with Pete Davidson, 30, with her grandma MJ, Khloé, and Kris Jenner.
Kim said: “Pete and I were staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel last weekend and we were sitting in front of the fireplace, just talking for hours, and I was like, ‘My grandma told me that you really live life when you have sex in front of the fireplace,’ and so we had sex in front of the fireplace in honour of you.”
She added: “I know that’s really creepy.”
Her Gran’s only response was checking the couple hadn’t got down and dirty in the hotel lobby.
Kim responded: “Not in the lobby! But how creepy to think about your grandma before you have sex?”
At least she has some self-awareness.
Tom Jones
The Welsh crooner is known for his singing prowess, and for also being a Lothario in his day.
Tom, 84, did have one bizarre pre-sex ritual that definitely wouldn’t have wowed potential conquests.
Back in 2015, he told The Big Issue: “I use Listerine to make sure everything down there is sterile, like a surgeon before an op… It’s a good way to do it.
“I say that mouthwash is not only for gargling.”
He claimed it was done to “make everything down there sterile” in his nether regions.
In the same interview, he also opted to reveal he named his penis Wendell.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Actress turned wellness guru Gwyneth, 51, hasn’t shied away from making public comments about intimate matters.
Under Goop, she’s released a candle that smells like her vagina and crystal balls to place inside.
But before that, she was already sharing intimate details at any chance possible.
The actress shocked the internet when she revealed that she steams her lady parts to keep them clean.
She said: “You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al.
“It is an energetic release — not just a steam douche — that balances female hormone levels.”
Richard Madeley
GMB presenter Richard, 68, is usually a family friendly option for TV, but he often can’t resist oversharing.
Unlike the other celebrities on this list, his was when talking about trying to conceive a child with wife Judy, 76.
In an interview with the Independent, he said: “When we were trying to conceive, I would douse my balls in icy water before intercourse.”
It appears to have been successful as the couple share children Chloe and Jack.
It’s not the only time he’s talked about sex, as he passed comment on Viagra after the couple experimented with it.
The pair had fronted a TV show about the drug and then opted to try taking one when it was all over.
Recalling the experience, he said: “We had one each. It makes everything last much longer and return, y’know, swiftly and hang around all day.”
He insisted that they didn’t use it for anything other than curiosity.
