But when she’s not busy trying to win the Glitterball, the ballroom dancer likes to spend time with her boyfriend Mikee Michele.

He is an Italian martial arts expert who also works as a bodyguard.
Mikee revealed how he began training as a fighter at the young age of two.
“I was just a baby, but thanks to my father who is a karate master, I created a system which is perfect and easy to learn for everyone, every gender and body shape, age and life style”, he wrote on his website.
“This has been great also for my actor life as I started also to choreograph action scenes for movies and other genres of shootings.”
In an ad promoting his services, he describes this style of fighting as an “Essential Combat System”.
“It is useful for all kinds of people, any age, gender, weight or body shape,” he added.
Before stating: “It includes the studying of weapons, knives, sticks, shotguns and objects available at the time such as umbrellas, newspapers, bottles, pens, phones and chairs. All of this can be learned in a short time.”
Mikee is also a trained choreographer, who has worked with two of Nancy‘s Strictly Come Dancing co-stars.
In 2011, he worked with Dianne Buswell and Graziano Di Prima (who has now left Strictly) on the West End show Burn The Floor.
When did Mikee Michele and Nancy Xu start dating?
The exact year the couple got together isn’t known, but the month is.
The loved-up pair often post on their anniversary, which is on November 6.
The couple started sharing loved-up snaps on their Instagram handles in December, 2017, sot his could be around the time they started dating.
Since then they have filled their grids with cute selfies, which show them travelling the world together.

When did Nancy Xu join Strictly?
Nancy Xu got her big break in 2019 when she joined the pro dancer line-up on Strictly.
Speaking about landing the job, she said at the time: “I’m thrilled and excited! I cannot wait to start this new journey with all these amazing people and share the magic together.
“Thank you so much Strictly for one of the most beautiful birthday gifts ever, thank you for making my dream come true!”
During her time on the show, Nancy and Mikee have also avoided the so-called “Strictly curse”.
Upon joining the BBC One series in 2019, an insider quickly shut down any speculation.
“Any of the celebrities or pro-dancers thinking of trying to get too close to her will need to be careful.
“Not only is she head over heels in love with Mikee but he’s hard as nails and rarely leaves her side”, said the source to The Sun.
