ROCK legend Slash’s beloved stepdaughter’s manner of death has been ruled as suicide, a medical examiner confirmed on Thursday.
Lucy-Bleu Knight, 25, was found unresponsive on July 19, 2024.
Her body was discovered by law enforcement, who had been conducting a welfare check.
She was found in a private residence in Los Angeles.
Now, one month later, the County Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner revealed Lucy-Bleu Knight’s cause of death.
In a Thursday statement, medical examiners said that she died from hydrogen sulfide toxicity.
They also detailed that the manner of Knight’s death was “suicide.”
The revelation comes over a month after an examination of Knight’s body was performed on July 22.
A complete report from the medical examiner’s office is expected to be released on September 10.
Slash, 59, confirmed his stepdaughter’s passing in a statement shared on Instagram in July, remembering Knight as an artist, dreamer, and “sweet soul.”
“Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), beloved daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles, CA on July 19, 2024,” the post from the Guns N’ Roses guitarist read.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.
“The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Slash first dated Knight’s mother, Meegan, during the late 1980s, soon after the origin of Guns N’ Roses.
Although the two drifted apart, they got back together in 2015.
At the time, Slash was still three years away from finalizing his divorce from his ex-wife Perla.
Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”

Ahead of his statement about his stepdaughter, the guitar legend canceled four dates of his solo S.E.R.P.E.N.T Tour.
The reason given to fans was “unforeseen circumstances.”
The tour was set to resume on July 28.
Slash is one of the recognizable figures in rock music thanks to his iconic tall top hat.
He is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists in history.
He joined Guns N’ Roses in 1985 and ultimately left in 1996 over disputes with frontman Axl Rose.
Slash later formed the band Velvet Revolver with former bandmates Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan, Wasted Youth’s Dave Kushner, and the late Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots.
The guitar icon returned to Guns N’ Roses in 2016 and traveled on tour with the band in 2023.
