SHOPPERS are rushing to buy a dupe of a popular Sol de Janeiro product which customers say is “even better” than the original.
It’s on sale for just £4 from one of the UK’s most popular health and beauty retailers.
One savvy shopper spotted the bargain buy on sale at Boots and posted it on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, writing: “The boots spray smells even better and lasts longer than the original sol de janerio and at a faction of the cost.”
One person commented: “These are Boots dupes of the sprays I like. You should get one!”
Another person said: “So kiss me Bali breeze smells like the orange bottle of sol de janeiro.”
Someone else wrote: “A got the boots one for my girls it smells absolutely amazing x”

Another person commented: “maybe we should try this one.”
The pistachio, almond and salted caramel scent is an imitation of Sol de Janeiro’s flagship Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist.
The original branded product costs £24 for 90ml, but is currently on offer at Boots for £19.20.
Affectionately known as Number 62, it “is inspired by the year 1962, when we fell for the Girl from Ipanema and the iconic beach culture of Brazil,” Sol de Janeiro bosses say.
“Like the sundrenched wonder of Rio, you just can’t get enough,” a blurb reads.
“It’s the scent that started it all.
“Irresistible and sunny, this warm gourmand fragrance is the ultimate expression of Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian spirit.”
A number of brands have tried to replicate the fragrance for budget-conscious shoppers.
Earlier in the year Primark released brand new dupes, with a selection of different scents costing just £3.50 for 100ml.
The pink version is Primark’s Hawaii Paradise Body Mist.
This has top notes of raspberry and fresh tropical flower layered on a base of caramel and musk, with mid notes of jasmine.
The pink mist is a dupe for Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40 Bom Dia Bright, which also has a warm floral scent.
Primark’s green scent is dubbed the Capri Breeze Body Mist.
The £3.50 spray has top notes of hazelnut, middle notes of coconut and chocolate, and a base of caramel, musk and vanilla.
It is a dupe for Coco Cabana by Sol de Janeiro – a famously sweet scent that is notoriously hard to get hold of since it was discontinued.
It wouldn’t be a Sol de Janeiro perfume dupe round up without recreating its ever-popular and sunny Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 Mist.
