British flyweight Muhammad Mokaev has re-signed with Bahrain-based promotion Brave Combat Federation (Brave CF) following his exit from the UFC.

Mokaev, 24, who is unbeaten in 14 professional fights, was released by the UFC last month after his contract expired.

Brave CF is set to confirm the signing during its show in Burgas, Bulgaria on Saturday.

Mokaev made his professional MMA debut in Brave CF in 2020, winning five times in the promotion, before joining the UFC in 2022.

“We would like to welcome back Muhammad Mokaev, an undefeated superstar, who is an amateur legend,” said the promotion’s president Mohammed Shahid.

“With two IMMAF [International Mixed Martial Arts Federation] world titles, and someone who has proven to be the best flyweight in the world, with no losses to his amateur or professional record. This is a very exciting time for Brave CF.”

Mokaev’s last bout was victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in Manchester last month, before the organisation’s president Dana White confirmed the two parties would not be signing a new deal.
