MRS Hinch has opened up on experiencing a ‘rollercoaster of grief’ since losing her dad earlier this year.
The cleanfluencer, 34, recently shared her “deep unimaginable pain” following the passing of her dad in April this year, and has recalled going through an ‘outer body experience’ since his passing.
The mum-of-two, known online as Sophie Hinchliffe, lost her dad Alan after he passed away “peacefully” but unexpectedly in his sleep on April 25, 2024.
Previously, the cleaning fanatic shared that her late father, who suffered with life-long “chest, lung and heart” problems, was “never blessed with… fantastic health” and had been hospitalised for several weeks in 2023.
The mother, who recently took an eight week break from social media and just last week gave fans a close-up look at her new tattoo tribute, has now broken her silence and uploaded her first video talking to fans directly since her dad died.
Posting on her Instagram stories, Mrs Hinch wrote: “I’m just trying to navigate the absolute rollercoaster of grief.
“But I wanted to say Hello and thank you for so much kindness, support and understanding.”
We then saw the influencer, who counts Stacey Solomon as one of her besties, film herself sitting outside her front door, as she explained: “Hello everyone, how are you all? How are you all doing?
“I think this is the first time I have felt ok enough to sort of just come on here and chat.
“I think anyone that’s sort of followed me for a long time or knows me and my family, knows that I’m very, very blessed to have spent most days with my dad.
“And yeah I think anyone who’s lost a parent will know exactly what’s happening right now.”
Fighting back tears, Sophie continued: “I thought I’d experienced some s**t in the past, but this is a whole new world.
“But I’m doing exactly what my dad would want me to do, keeping strong, keep going, look after my mum and the house and the boys.”
Sophie thanked her husband for his support and encouraged her fans to spend time with their parents if possible.
She added: Jamie’s been an absolute, he’s just held my whole life together for the last few months, so thank you Jamie.
“When you’ve been through something like this, it’s a bit like an out of body experience.
“The world looks different, feels different, smells different, just everything is different.
“For those going through it or have been through it, I know you’ll know, I’m sending all my love and those that haven’t yet, just go and sit with your parents.”
Sophie visibly began to get emotional, as she held up a thumbs up and concluded: “See you when I see you everyone.”
When did Sophie Hinchcliffe’s dad die?
On May 8, 2024, Sophie revealed her beloved dad had passed away “suddenly, yet peacefully.
Her father actually died on April 25, 2024, but his grieving daughter waited until she was ready to share the sad news with her fans.
In April 2023, Sophie revealed how she was taking a break social media after her dad ended up in hospital.
She said at the time: “My dad is in hospital at the moment guys. My dad has never been blessed shall we say with fantastic health – from his chest, his lungs, his heart.
“He’s always struggled you know.”
She heartbreakingly added: “I just want him to be happy.”
Not only this, but the mother also took to her Instagram feed to share a ‘catch up in pictures’.
Alongside a range of adorable snaps of her young children, Ronnie, five, and Lennie, three, Sophie penned: “Explaining to your children, that their loved one is never coming back, is by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life
“Life has certainly changed forever but as parents we find that fight to get up, to walk, talk and just try to smile through the rollercoaster that is grief. If you too are facing this right now I’m sending all my love.
“Seeing our Ron & Len smile literally pulls us through each day.
“Have a wonderful evening everyone and thank you for so many kind replies to my story today. It felt scary but comforting to pop on here, sending love.”
FANS RUSH TO SUPPORT
Fans rushed to support the star, with many sending messages of love and condolence in the comments.
One person said: “Just beautiful. Your daddy will always be the first man you loved and be with you forever.
