And if that wasn’t enough, she’s been wearing the same two pairs of shoes for the last decade, and also uses make-up that expired five years ago.

Posting on social media, the blonde-haired beauty shared her clip with the caption ‘Don’t come at me for any of these.’

She then shared how she lives an “underconsumption core” lifestyle, as she revealed things that people might find “controversial”.

Whilst many people will use shower gel, shaving foam, body scrub and more when they clean their bodies in the shower, Eleanor proudly showed off her “shower essentials” – simply just a single bar of soap.

Not only this, but when it comes to her skincare, rather than having a variety of different face washes and serums, Eleanor has cut back her routine and simply uses African black soap.

She then confirmed that to save cash, she wears the same shoes until they fall apart, as she gave her followers a close-up look at two of her favourite footwear choices.

Not only does she own a pair of her brown sandals, which she has had for the past ten years, but she also wears a pair of grey boots that she has “walked thousands of miles in” for the past seven years.

But Eleanor really left people gasping when she showed off her electric toothbrush, as she confirmed: “The toothbrush my husband and I share.”

Not only does she not have her own toothbrush, but as a result of her minimalist lifestyle, she’s also been using the same hair band for “over a year” too.

And finally, rather than an overflowing make-up bag with a variety of different items, she simply has a handful of make-up.

Eleanor uses an SPF, bronzer, mascara and lipstick, and confirmed that her concealer “expired five years ago”, but that won’t stop her applying it to her face.

How to live a minimalist lifestyle

ADOPTING a minimalist lifestyle can bring clarity, reduce stress, and create more space for the things that truly matter. Here are some tips to help you get started:

  1. Define your why: Understand why you want to live a minimalist lifestyle. Whether it’s to reduce stress, save money, or increase focus, having a clear reason will keep you motivated.
  2. Declutter: Begin with one area at a time. Sort items into categories: keep, donate, sell, and discard. Be honest about what you truly need and use.
  3. Adopt a “one in, one out” rule: For every new item you bring into your home, let go of an existing one. This helps maintain balance and prevents accumulation.
  4. Quality over quantity: Invest in high-quality items that last longer, even if they cost more upfront. This reduces the need for frequent replacements.
  5. Simple wardrobe: Create a capsule wardrobe with versatile pieces that you love and wear frequently. This reduces decision fatigue and clutter.
  6. Mindful consumption: Before making a purchase, ask yourself if it adds value to your life. Avoid impulse buying and focus on intentional spending.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @eleanorblanch, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a jaw-dropping 1.9 million views.

SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REACT

Whilst some social media users were impressed with Eleanor’s “controversial” habits, many were horrified at her sharing a toothbrush.

One user beamed: “You’re so real for this.”

Whilst a second agreed: “Loveeee this.”

However, at the same time, one person said: “Shared toothbrush is insane.”
