TikTok rumours stated that Raising Cane’s is set to open a branch in Stratford, after a video was shared on TikTok claiming to announce the news to the delight of fans.

One person commented: “Omg is this for real.”

Another added: “OMG PLS IN LEEDS.”

But sadly it turns out the news is fake.

A statement from the brand said: “As we expand across the world, we’re continually looking at global destinations and popular cities in which to open Raising Cane’s.

“We love the energy and excitement Raising Cane’s has garnered across the UK and hope to bring our brand to the region within the next few years.

“Any TikTok videos announcing Raising Cane’s coming to the UK or mentioning specific opening dates and locations are fake and not from our verified Cane’s account, @raisingcane.”

Similarly, over the weekend rumours started flying about whether burger chain In-N-Out Burger would be coming to London.

Four videos were posted on the TikTok account @innoutburgercamden that claimed In-N-Out Burger was arriving to Camden High Street, with the same menu as it’s US counterparts.

Fast food fans set for frenzy as major American chain teases Irish opening

Viewers were excited at the news, with one person commenting: “Yes, best news on a Friday! When is the opening?”

Someone else wrote: “omg yes!! please open across the country not just London!”

Another person said: “Omg is this for real.”

Another TikTok account suggested the food chain could have outlets in Westfield and The Brunswick Centre, shopping centres both located in the capital.

But it turns out that In-N-Out have no plans to come to the UK.

A spokesperson said: “We are not affiliated with the TikTok account, which features our logo and the inaccurate message of opening a location or hosting a pop-up event in Camden, UK.

“It was likely created as a prank or to attract online attention.”

Which US fast food chains are coming to the UK?

Several American fast food chains have revealed their plans to open new stores in the UK.

After Dave’s Hot ChickenChick-fil-A, and Popeyes, the latest US chain set to rival McDonald’s in Britain and Ireland is Carl’s Jr.

Dave’s Hot Chicken  is known in the US for its jumbo hot chicken sliders, tenders, and bites.

The chain’s chicken is available in seven spice levels, from no spice to reaper, the latter of which requires a signed waiver due to its intense heat.

It has announced plans to open 60 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.

The first restaurant is slated to open in London in the first quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile Fried chicken restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has confirmed it has plans to open branches across the country.

Nando’s fans can get £10 off by ‘ordering EXACT same food on another part of the menu’

FANS of iconic chicken spot Nando’s could save themselves up to £10 on their final bill if they order off a particular part of the menu rarely ever used.

Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert has revealed that when scouring the Nando’s menu, a good place to start is in the sharing platters section.

Some of the biggest savers will be families or larger groups as the more food you want the bigger the discounts are in the sharing section.

For the biggest savings, look to buy Nando’s largest and most expensive offering the Family Platter.

It’ll cost you £55 as part of the sharing offer but you’ll be able to feed up to six people with the two whole chickens and five large sides.

If you were to order that massive amount of food on its own then it’ll be £31.90 for the chicken and £32.50 for the sides meaning you’ll have to find £64.40 – a whole £9.40 more.

And what makes it an even more delicious sounding meal is that the chicken comes already split up into even quarters meaning each person could have some chicken and a side to themselves.

Taking the amount per head in a group of five diners just £11 – far cheaper than most other meals on the menu.

It’s set to open its first store in early 2025 and then up to five in the following two years.

While the exact menu hasn’t yet been confirmed by Chick-fil-A, it has said it will be bringing popular items from across the pond.

These include the original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, freshly made salads, and nuggets that are hand-breaded throughout the day.

Carl’s Jr has over 1,000 locations in the US and 3,100 worldwide, offers an assortment of chicken dishes, burgers, and breakfast sandwiches.

It already has restaurants in Spain, France, Denmark, Turkey, and Switzerland.

The chain has now partnered up with Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG), which owns multiple franchises including Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Slim Chickens, to launch in the UK and Ireland.

Popeyes, a US fried chicken giant, launched in the UK in 2021.

It now has around 50 branches and plans to open 15 more this year.

US burger chain Wendy’s, which already has 23 sites in the UK, will also cut the ribbon on new locations this year.

Shake Shack has 15 locations in the UK and last month it announced plans to open its first-ever train station restaurant in the country.

At the beginning of this year, Wingstop announced it would be opening 15 more restaurants – bringing the total number of locations to 54.

Lemon Pepper Holdings, which runs the fast food chain’s UK portfolio, said the move would create up to 750 jobs.
