Fonehouse deal offers ‘bold, beautiful’ Android flagship mobile for £0 upfront and £33p/m – claim FREE speaker

Occasional Digest - a story for you

ANDROID lovers looking for an affordable pay-monthly contract are in luck: Fonehouse has an excellent deal on a major flagship smartphone.

You can pick up the Honor 200 Pro for just £33 a month and £0 upfront – and the best part is you can claim free Onyx Studio 8 Portable Speaker.

There’s usually nothing better than having a huge data allowance to accompany a brand-new phone.

However, Fonehouse has found a way to top this, as the phone retailer is also chucking in an Onyx Studio 8 Portable Speaker to sweeten the deal.

Fonehouse prices the sleek speaker at £279 (but after a little digging, I found the device on Amazon, where it’s available for £229.99.)

With that in mind, you’re still grabbing a flagship device that was released earlier this year and a premium piece of audio tech for just £33 a month. That sounds like an absolute steal to me.

Senior Writer Matt Breen covered the release of the Honor 200 range when it first hit the market in back June – the Pro is the biggest phone of the bunch.

Sometimes impressive-seeming phone plans come with lousy data allowances – but that’s not the case here – Fonehouse is offering unlimited data with the Honor 200 Pro.

Additionally, the unlimited data is on the Vodafone network, so you’re getting coverage from one the biggest networks in the UK.

Unlimited data is great and all, but we know the most important thing for most shoppers buying at the top end of the phone market is usually the camera quality.

If you are a camera enthusiast, you’re in safe hands.

The Honor Pro includes a trio of lenses, so you’ve always got the right tool for the job.

The Primary camera is 50 megapixels, two more than the latest iPhone’s, and it is accompanied by a 50-megapixel telephoto and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

With the Honor 200 Pro, you’ll be able to take high-level photos, whether of close-up selfies or long-distance landscapes.

You can view your masterpieces on the 6.78-inch quad-curved OLED display, which has a resolution of 1224×2700 (also known as Full HD+) and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

When you’re viewing your photographic masterpieces, a sharp and clear screen like that will definitely make you feel as if you’re back in the moment.

The high refresh rate is great for watching back videos or streaming the latest must-watch show.

Once you’ve eventually drained the whopping 5,200mAh battery – that should give you around 26 hours of video playback anyway – the 200 Pro is capable of using a 100-watt charger.

While 100 watts sounds pretty impressive for a charger, it’s even more impressive when you realise that means you can charge your phone from 0% to 100% in just 41 minutes.

I haven’t tested this Android mobile myself – so I looked at some online reviews to see what customers thought of their purchase.

On the Honor website, one customer has written: ‘What a great device! [It has a] bold, beautiful design.

‘Great camera quality with the most advanced Harcourt Portrait Mode technology.’

That’s a reference, by the way, to Studio Harcourt, the Parisian photography house that’s been going strong for 90 years.

It has partnered with Honor to develop the new camera tech in the 200 range.

Another shopper notes, ‘The Honor 200 Pro… is right up there.’

‘Its great design, fantastic cameras (the Portrait Mode is particularly impressive), stunning battery life (with incredibly quick recharging times), and fast, fluid performance really make this a joy to use.’

‘There’s so much to love about this phone, and it offers so much value. I’m incredibly impressed with the Honor 200 Pro.’

In fact, two weeks ago, I also came across iD Mobile offering the ‘Samsung rival’ for £15 a month – it also comes with a freebie, a JBL Charge portable speaker.
