Humberside Airport in Kirmington, Lincolnshire, was named the quietest travel hub in the country, serving just 136,976 passengers last year.
Despite only serving just over 100,000 passengers each year, the airport has several links to a number of European holiday destinations.
For example, there’s a KLM service to Amsterdam Schiphol as well as three flights a week to Esbjerg in Denmark.
In the summer, TUI operates a weekly service to Majorca.
There are also two weekly flights to Bourgas in Bulgaria, ran by BH Air (Balkan Holidays).
Meanwhile, during the winter, several flights to Lapland are arranged for passengers as well.
Reykjavik, Newquay, Aberdeen and Jersey are among other destinations.
Even though it’s one of the smallest airports in the country, Humberside Airport has its own Executive Lounge.
Facilities in the lounge include a bar with complimentary beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and snacks.
Passengers will also be able to grab tea, coffee, bacon buttys, porridge, soup, sandwiches and cream teas in the lounge.
Other freebies include newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions with the latest flight information.
Every passenger can book to use the Executive Lounge, with walk-in admissions costing £33.
Southend-on-Sea Airport in Essex was named the second quietest in the country, seeing only 146,072 pass through the travel hub in 2023.
Meanwhile, Teesside International Airport came in at third, with 226,557 passengers last year.
The fourth and fifth slots go to Norwich Airport with 357,852 and Newquay Airport with 408,870.
Naturally airports with fewer travellers will see shorter queues and quicker movement for you as you make your way from the car park to the tarmac.
Savvy travellers will also want to know which airports are the busiest so they can avoid booking their summer holiday flights there.
The busiest is, unsurprisingly, Heathrow Airport with an incredible almost 80 million terminal passengers in 2023.
Gatwick Airport sits at almost 41 million and Manchester Airport is third with almost 30 million.
Stansted Airport, Luton Airport, Edinburgh Airport, and Birmingham Airport all follow suit.
