A PERFUME fan has shared how she makes her fragrances last on the skin.
She explained that her five go-to practices made all the difference.
Redditor Gonnabe150 shared the beauty tips in a post.
She revealed that in the summer, she prioritized deodorant before spritzing anything on.
“Deodorant anywhere you have skin against the skin — so not just underarms but bikini line, underboobs, backs of knees if you’ll be sitting a lot,” she said.
“I get very stinky feet, so I put deodorant on my feet every morning after I shower, too.”
On top of that, she made sure to pick “loose-fitting, breathable clothing that won’t trap sweat.”
For perfumes, a trick helped her stretch how long they lasted.
“If you like fragrance/perfume, there’s a plethora of clean, fresh scents that smell like you just stepped out of a shower,” she said.
“My best tip for perfume is to put a dab of Vaseline on your chest and on the back of your neck under your hair and do one spray in each spot.

“The Vaseline allows the fragrance to hold much better to your skin.
“I can smell my perfume all day this way, but it’s light enough that I’m not walking around in an overpowering scent bubble.”
During and after the shower, she makes sure to do everything possible to eliminate odor.
“Exfoliate regularly, lotion after every shower, and make sure you are completely bone dry before you get dressed,” she said.
“If you don’t wash your hair every day, either wet your hair and use conditioner on non-wash days or use dry shampoo to avoid stinky hair.”
Another scent enthusiast revealed that they watch their diet to make sure they smell good.
“Low sugar diet first and foremost. I noticed I barely have any underarm smell anymore ever since I cut that out,” they said.
“Aside from that, I layer scents. For example, I’ll use citrus-scented body lotion and a vanilla body spray, and then on top, I’ll use a perfume with both citrus and vanilla.
“ONLY one spray of the perfume (otherwise, it’ll be overwhelming).
“I’ll also use a citrusy/vanilla shampoo and conditioner, too, so that I don’t have a conflicting smell like what you’d get with Head & Shoulders, for example.
“I find that layering the same family of scents helps it all last longer.”
To prevent conflicting odors, she even opts for unscented detergent.
