MANCHESTER UNITED forgotten man Tyrell Malacia returned to training earlier this week.
The left-back made his last performance for the Red Devils 412 days ago after undergoing knee surgery last summer.
Malacia was spotted at Carrington earlier this week with the team’s medical staff.
The club confirmed on their official website: “There was encouraging news from Carrington on Friday after Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia progressed his fitness programme.”
The 24-year-old went off the radar last season as his operation prevented him from playing football for 11 months.
And fans were shocked to see the Netherlands international back on the pitch.
As one gasped: “I thought this guy was kidnapped. It’s been ages since he surfaced on the net. Welcome back bro.”
While another added: “Bro’s alive.”
A third then put: “wtf he is alive??? I saw missing person case about him.”
The Dutchman signed a four-year contract with United in 2022 worth £13million after moving from Feyenoord.

Malacia was the first signing under Erik ten Hag in 2022 and made 39 appearances in his debut term at the club winning the EFL Cup.
His most recent appearance was 412 days ago – United’s final Premier League match of the 2022–23 season on 28 May 2023.
Malacia will hope to be fit for United’s opening game against Fulham at Old Trafford on August 15.
After confirming Ten Hag’s future at the club the Red Devils have been busy this summer to recruit new stars to the squad.
United are edging closer to signing Dutch stars Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt.
