Speaking to Fabulous, Ingrid claimed: “Kate tried to get along with Meghan.

“Harry had been part of their little Kensington Palace family and Kate knew he wanted to be married.

“She also longed for him to be happy.

“But Kate saw the warning signs in Meghan’s behaviour especially around the time of the wedding.”

In the lead-up to Meghan’s royal wedding, it was reported that the bride-to-be and Kate had a disagreement that ended in tears.

It was claimed Meghan left Kate in tears over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s dress in the run-up to her royal wedding in 2018.

But, in an explosive tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan revealed it was Kate that made her cry just days before her wedding.

Meanwhile, it was reported the Queen warned Prince Harry over Meghan’s behaviour and attitude before their wedding following a row over the bride’s tiara.

She initially wanted a tiara that featured emeralds, according to royal sources.

But the future Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unhappy when told her first choice was impossible.

Meghan Markle’s popularity has plummeted since King’s coronation says expert – here’s why

Royal author Robert Jobson claims Harry told staff before the wedding: “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

Ingrid claimed that “signs of a rift between the two high profile women were not

necessarily obvious.”

She added: “But we now know that Meghan hated being considered second best to the then Duchess of Cambridge.

“Kate had bagged the number one man whereas Meghan only had the ‘spare’ son in Prince Harry.

“Most women wouldn’t even think about that. But Meghan was so insecure and anxious about her own status she took everything as a slight.”

We shared how the two women went to Wimbledon together in the summer of 2019, in an apparent show of unity.

However, Meghan opened up about the joint appearance in her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

MEGXIT TERMS

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced on January 8, 2020, they would be stepping down as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family.

On January 18 it was announced that Harry and Meghan would “no longer be working members of Britain’s Royal Family”, and would not use their “Royal Highness” titles.

A Palace spokeswoman said the couple would no longer receive public money and that they would repay the £2.4million cost of refurbishing their cottage — Frogmore — in Windsor, Berks.

The following day, Harry said in a heartfelt speech: “Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.”

The Duke of Sussex said he had found the “love and happiness I had hoped for all my life” with Meghan.

In the 2021 chat, Oprah asked Meghan: “Did you feel welcomed by everyone? It seemed like you and Kate… at the Wimbledon game where you were going to watch a friend play tennis

“Was it what it looked like? You are two sisters-in-law out there in the world, getting to know each other.

“Was she helping you, embracing you into the family, helping you adjust?”

Meghan answered: “I think everyone welcomed me.

“When you say, ‘Was it what it looked like?’, my understanding and my experience of the past four years is, it’s nothing like what it looks like.

“It’s nothing like what it looks like.”

She added that she “couldn’t have been lonelier” at the time of being in the royal family.

Days after their Wimbledon trip, Meghan and Kate were seen at a charity polo match.

However, according to royal biography Finding Freedom, the pair had a “cordial but distant rapport.”

The book said: “While the doting mothers were photographed next to each other with their children, the two appeared to barely exchange a word.”

Less than a year later in January 2020, Meghan and Harry announced they were stepping back as senior working royals.

They now live in Santa Barbara with their two kids, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.
