She urged the daytime TV host to try different styles and up her bra-size checks as she approaches the 60 mark, given the usual body changes and aging.
Hoda, 59, struggled with her outfit through a segment on Thursday on the Today Show.
The presenter tried to push her white bra and straps back under the straps of her sleeveless red dress.
Jenna Bush Hager, 42, called out her co-host’s wardrobe malfunction during their Fourth of July celebration.
As Jenna and Hoda struck up a back-and-forth, Hoda revealed her bra was too big.
This is also the age when the skin can get a little flabby and start to stretch.
Tavia Sharp
Stylist Tavia Sharp agreed it was not Hoda’s dress that was at fault.
The presenters sat among American flags and a tablecloth.
“Hoda felt prudish in the red dress with her bra showing and looked uncomfortable,” Sharp told The U.S. Sun.
“Hoda’s dress straps were so small that she should have worn a strapless bra.
“The dress fit her shape fine, and her breasts were not hanging out.”
Sharp suggested that the anchor should have more frequent bra-fittings to solve the issue.
“At Hoda’s age, it is also more important than ever to wear proper undergarments so her clothes fit better,” she said.
“She should also start getting her bra fittings done more often – perhaps every other year.
“Hoda’s body is changing over time with aging – she is just wearing the wrong bra for this dress style.”
SLINK OFF
Sharp also noticed Hoda did not look as put together as usual.
“She dresses conservatively, typically, and does not usually show much skin,” she said.
“Hoda is usually more modest in general and would not look slinky.
“This is also the age when the skin can get a little flabby and start to stretch.”
PUSH UP
Jenna, whose white dress covered her cleavage, told the mom of two to ‘free your boobs.’
Sharp said the comment highlighted a “generation clash.”
“It was a joke, but Hoda did not find it that funny,” she said.
“It would be the younger generation who does not wear bras and not someone Hoda’s age and about to turn 60.
“Even here was a clash of generations, with Hoda looking uncomfortable.
“Jenna pushed her hard about it, but Hoda would not be going braless in her late 50s.
“Jenna, who looked more modest, was a little pushy, and Hoda wanted her to stop.”
Hoda, who turns 60 in four weeks, prefers wearing similar styles for her daytime anchor gig.
“I have seven things I love, and they’re going to get a workout,” she told One Last Thing in 2023.
“I’m a re-wearer, and I don’t know if it’s a disaster, but it’s certainly my style,” she added.
Hoda is also usually camera-ready for the popular weekday morning show with immaculate hair and makeup.

The NBC host is known for wearing block colors and tailored suits.
“I like simple,” Kotb said of her style on the show in 2016.
“There was a red dress, and everyone kept saying retire it, and then I did eventually, or someone took it,” she said.
“And that pink dress I wear to death,” Hoda added about her wardrobe.
It appears the Oklahoma native is just as organized with her daily routine, including her fashion and fitness regimens.
Hoda sometimes goes to the gym at 3:30 a.m. She meditates to prepare for her busy day ahead.
“When you get to be in your 50s and you’re a woman, you do know exactly who you are,” she said in 2022.
“Like I’m here to tell you, as you go through your years in life, your best years — your most confident, your clearest years — are ahead for you,” she told The Today Show.
LEVEL UP
According to Sharp, who has styled Chrissy Teigan, 38, and Drake, 37, Hoda’s bra struggle triggered a confidence drop.
“The idea of using clothes to shift your confidence levels is big,” she said.
“Clothing and style are a big piece of how we view ourselves.

“She may have thought next time she would wear a jacket.”
Hoda is mom to Haley and Hope, who she shares with her ex, Joel Schiffman.
Joel and Hoda started dating in 2013 but split in 2022. She divorced Burzis Kanga in 2008.
Since February, Hoda has been chatting about her dating life.
Following an interview with pop star Jennifer Lopez, Hoda confirmed she had started dating.
Dating coming into your 60s and what to wear can cause insecurity.

“I just told her I have a date tonight, and that wasn’t supposed to be made public either,” she said in February.
According to People, Jenna set a first date for her friend.
Although it was unclear whether Hoda had a date in March, she was spotted out in New York City with a mystery man.
“Something did happen the other day that hasn’t happened in two years … I had a date! I had a date!” she later told Kelly Clarkson.
Hoda spoke about dating again on the Drew Barrymore Show in May.
She mentioned going on a third date with a “handsome man.”
OUT THERE
Sharp suggested Hoda may be viewing herself differently now that she is dating again.
“Hoda may have been uncomfortable on national TV and worried the guys she is dating will see this,” she said.
“The way she views herself has also changed a little bit, too.
“She would think she has to feel more sexy and attractive because she is dating.
“Hoda is probably putting herself out there, so now we see there could be some insecurities around it.
